Annual Breakaway Fundraising Auction...

30 July 2016 - Bridges Restaurant & Function Centre

Join us and spend an evening with family and friends while we raise much-needed funds for Breakaway Camps. This is Breakaway's major fundraising event for the year, and always promises to be a BIG night for all who attend. The evening will be jam packed full of fun, games, music and entertainment, and the all important main auction proudly carried out by Stuart Buckingham from Buckingham and Co Real Estate.

With around 30 Main Auction items and over 150 Silent Auction items in our catalogue, the night boasts items such as sporting goods, restaurant vouchers, baby goods, plants, computer equipment, clothing, white goods, accommodation, shopping and travel vouchers, and the legendary meat tray.

This year we are excited to be partnering with Bridges Restaurant and Function Centre in Hurstbridge, with the aim of lifting the Auction to the next level. This gorgeous venue has a different layout than the venue we have used in past, and as a result we are limited in available seating at tables. If you would like a seated ticket, we suggest you purchase your tickets as soon as you are able – they will sell quickly!


We will still offer tables of ten and this year we will also be offering standing tickets. Standing tickets will be available at a lower price to the seated tickets. We will of course continue with our standard inclusions of delicious finger food; plus beer, wine, bubbly, soft drinks and juice included in the ticket price. As Bridges has a full bar, other drinks will be available at bar prices. Bring your friends, family, colleagues or even a stranger off the street!

 

Ticket prices for the two options as as follows:
- Seated at a table: $55 per person
- Standing: $40 per person

Table preferences can be recorded at time of booking.

Get Involved

In addition to enjoying a great evening, there are many ways you can get involved in the 2016 Annual Breakaway Auction. These include donating goods or services that can be auctioned, making a one-off financial donation, volunteering your time or skills on the night, or becoming an Auction Sponsor.

You can donate goods or services that can be auctioned at the event. We pride ourselves in offering a large variety of items, with our selection last year including everything from a long-neck turtle to a day sailing on the bay! Generously donated items sold unbelievably well, with a stunning outdoor setting fetching $1,875 and a trailer raising over $1000 in years gone by. We’ve had a 10kg block of Chocolate sell for $830.00, to then be generously donated back to Breakaway so it could be shared among the kids of Breakaway themselves. Your generosity will assist us in continuing to implement the Breakaway Camps programs. In appreciation of your generosity, we would recognise your organisation within our schedule for the evening and on our ‘big screen’ throughout the night. We request that your donations be received no later than Friday, 1st July, 2016.

We are also seeking Auction Sponsors, where businesses sponsor the Auction by way of financial support. Getting on board as an Auction Sponsor offers substantial visual representation of your business in Auction promotional material, which is distributed to Auction supporters, posted to our Facebook page (which reaches hundreds of people), and displayed on our website. Auction Sponsors also receive significant cross promotion on the night of the Auction, which gives exposure to our close to 200 Auction attendees and helpers.
